Damascus, Syria – Syrian border authorities have confirmed that there are no changes to the entry requirements for Syrians into Jordan, categorically denying recent reports circulating on some social media platforms regarding the imposition of new restrictions or stricter procedures.

In an official statement, they clarified that border crossings continue according to the previously established regulations, without any alterations to travel requirements or entry procedures. They also noted that current procedures include verifying official documents and ensuring compliance with the agreed-upon regulatory requirements between the two countries.

The statement added that coordination between Syrian and Jordanian authorities remains ongoing. This coordination aims to facilitate the movement of travelers and ensure smooth passage through border crossings. This is particularly important given the regional circumstances, which necessitate maintaining stable movement.

The authorities stressed the importance of obtaining information from official sources and not being misled by rumors that could cause confusion among citizens. They affirmed that any updates or changes to policies will be announced clearly and directly through the relevant government channels.

This clarification comes after the spread of unconfirmed reports suggesting the possibility of new restrictions being imposed on the entry of Syrians into Jordan. This has led many citizens to question the validity of these measures, especially given the continued high level of interest in travel between the two countries due to the strong social and economic ties between their peoples.
