The French presidency stated that Emmanuel Macron stressed the importance of all parties adhering to the current truce and working to resolve disputes through diplomatic dialogue, noting that halting hostilities creates opportunities for constructive negotiations and helps avoid further human and material losses.
For his part, the Iranian president expressed his country’s commitment to the ceasefire initiative, affirming Tehran’s willingness to pursue de-escalation that would allow for serious talks on regional and nuclear issues. This initiative comes amid rising tensions in the region, as the international community seeks to prevent escalation that could threaten navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and global energy security.
