Kyiv, Ukraine – In a move to bolster regional security, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian experts will continue their mission in the Middle East as part of a program to support Ukraine’s allies in countering aerial threats, particularly Iranian drones.
Kyiv explained that approximately 200 Ukrainian experts specializing in air surveillance and defense systems have been deployed to assist partner countries in developing drone interception strategies, with the aim of mitigating any potential security threats.
Zelenskyy noted that cooperation between the Ukrainian experts and local authorities in the Middle East will include practical training in drone detection, intelligence analysis, and coordination to ensure an effective response to any potential attacks, thereby enhancing security and stability in the region.
