Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received His Excellency Kang Hoon-sik, Head of the Secretariat of the Presidential Office of the Republic of South Korea and Special Presidential Envoy of the UAE.

During the meeting, the Korean presidential envoy conveyed to His Highness the greetings of His Excellency Lee Jae-myung, President of the Republic of South Korea, and his wishes for the UAE continued security, progress and prosperity.
His Highness the Special Envoy conveyed his greetings to His Excellency the Korean President and his wishes for his country and people to develop further and for relations between the two countries to continue to flourish.
The meeting touched on the developments taking place in the region and their serious repercussions, as they pose a threat to regional and global security and peace.
The Korean envoy affirmed Korea’s solidarity with the UAE regarding the measures it is taking to preserve its security and the safety of its territory and citizens.
Preference is given to dialogue and diplomatic means
The two sides stressed the need to give priority to dialogue and diplomatic means in addressing regional issues, thus avoiding further tensions and preserving regional security and stability.
His Excellency Kang Hoon-sik also expressed his thanks to His Highness the President of the UAE and his appreciation for the attention that the UAE attaches to Korean nationals and all residents on its territory to facilitate their procedures and ensure their safety and security.
The meeting discussed the paths of Emirati-Korean cooperation within the framework of the “Special Strategic Partnership” that brings together the two countries in priority areas.
