Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the latest regional developments in light of the recent Iranian attacks. They also emphasized the need to strengthen strategic coordination between the two countries to protect national security and stability in the Gulf region. Additionally, they highlighted the importance of stability in the Middle East in general.

Joint work is the cornerstone

The joint statement explained that the meeting addressed ways to enhance security and intelligence cooperation between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi. This included the exchange of accurate information on Iran’s movements and strategic assessments. Furthermore, they discussed strengthening coordination to protect maritime navigation, airports, and vital infrastructure. This, in turn, ensures the security of citizens and the strategic interests of both countries.

The two ministers noted that the escalation of Iranian aggression poses a direct threat to regional security and necessitates intensified diplomatic efforts. They emphasized that joint action between the Kingdom and the UAE is the cornerstone for countering any destabilizing actions. Furthermore, it is essential to engage international partners and strategic allies to support stability. This will also help protect shared interests.

Proactive plans for any potential threats

They also stressed the importance of continued engagement with the international community to highlight Iranian violations. Pressure must be applied through diplomatic and legal channels to halt any acts of aggression. They affirmed that coordination between the two countries extends beyond security matters to include political, economic, and humanitarian spheres. This ensures a stable and secure environment for all the peoples of the region. The two ministers expressed their full commitment to continuing to work on proactive plans to counter any potential threats. This includes organizing joint exercises and developing defense capabilities. Furthermore, it will encompass enhancing technological solutions in the areas of surveillance and cybersecurity. This will guarantee the highest levels of protection at the regional level.
