Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, discussed current regional and international developments during phone calls with a number of foreign ministers.

In addition to the situation in the region following Iran’s blatant missile attacks targeting the UAE and a number of countries in the region.

His Highness held telephone discussions with His Excellency Jo Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. His Excellency Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. His Excellency Giorgos Grabitritis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece. His Excellency Lars Løke Rasmussen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark. Her Excellency Gabriela Sommerfeld, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of the Republic of Ecuador. His Excellency Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba. His Excellency Erawan Behen Yusuf, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.

His Highness and Their Excellencies the Ministers exchanged views on current developments in the region and their impact on regional stability, the global economy and energy supply security.

They also discussed the importance of joint action to enhance international efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in the region.

His Highness and Their Excellencies the Ministers condemned and strongly denounced the blatant Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of countries in the region.

They affirmed their categorical rejection of such actions, which constitute a flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the security and stability of countries.

They also stressed the right of countries subjected to these attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to preserve the security of their citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with international law.

His Highness and Their Excellencies the Ministers discussed the importance of the international community working together at this stage and intensifying diplomatic and political efforts.

In addition to supporting peaceful paths and responsible dialogue, which contributes to enhancing regional security and stability.

During the contacts, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the positions of solidarity and support expressed by Their Excellencies the Ministers towards the UAE.

He stressed the safety of all residents and visitors in the country, and reiterated the UAE’s commitment to working with its partners in the international community to consolidate the foundations of security and stability in the region.
