Madrid, Spain – Spain has announced its unequivocal rejection of the military operations being carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran, asserting that military escalation will only complicate the situation in the region and exacerbate regional tensions.
In an official statement, the Spanish government stressed the need to respect international law and resort to diplomatic solutions as the primary option to prevent the situation from spiraling into a wider confrontation that could threaten stability in the Middle East.
Madrid calls for restraint and dialogue
Madrid called on all parties to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue, warning that continued military operations could negatively impact international maritime security and energy supplies, in addition to their potential humanitarian consequences.
The Spanish stance comes amid growing European concerns about the escalation of the conflict, and amid intensive diplomatic efforts aimed at containing the crisis and preventing its wider outbreak.
