Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah affirmed on Monday that relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are a crucial element in supporting regional stability. He also emphasized the importance of coordination and joint cooperation between the two countries in confronting the challenges facing the region. The Saudi Foreign Minister’s remarks came during an interview reported by Arab media outlets, including Al Arabiya, amidst rapidly evolving regional developments and complex political and security issues in the Middle East.

As part of Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic efforts, Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed the latest regional and international developments and the efforts being made to address them in a telephone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the call also addressed ways to enhance joint coordination between Riyadh and Washington on issues of mutual interest. On another front, the Saudi Foreign Minister held a telephone conversation with the Omani Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi. During the call, they reviewed the latest developments in the region and the diplomatic efforts underway to achieve de-escalation and stability. According to the Saudi Press Agency, both sides emphasized the importance of continued consultation and coordination among the countries of the region to support regional security. They also stressed the need to promote political solutions to the existing crises.
