Mogadishu, Somalia – Somalia and Turkey discussed ways to strengthen their bilateral partnership in family development and social services. This comes within the framework of the growing relations between the two countries and their joint cooperation to support stability and development in Somalia.

During meetings between Somali and Turkish officials, existing cooperation programs were reviewed. Mechanisms for expanding these programs to include family support, women’s empowerment, childcare, and improving the level of social services provided to the community were also discussed.

Both sides emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and building capacity in the social sectors. They also stressed their support for development initiatives targeting the most vulnerable groups, which contribute to strengthening social cohesion and achieving sustainable development.

Both parties emphasized their commitment to continuing coordination and joint work in the coming period. They also agreed to develop cooperation frameworks that achieve common goals and strengthen the strategic partnership between Somalia and Turkey.
