Tehran, Iran – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf launched sharp and direct threats against US President Donald Trump, describing him as “delusional” and “a gambler.”
This comes against the backdrop of what he described as American threats directed at Iran.
Iranian media outlets quoted Qalibaf as saying that “Iran’s defenders will teach the United States an unforgettable lesson.”
He warned that any confrontation would turn into “an enduring historical lesson for tyrants in America.”
A comprehensive response targeting American interests
He added that the Iranian people, with their millions of women and men, stand up against what he described as American arrogance.
Invoking the words of former Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani,
He said: “Oh gambler Trump, we are your adversary… We are the nation of Imam Hussein, we stand against you and we wait.”
The Iranian parliament speaker stressed that Tehran “will not tolerate the bloodshed of its people, nor the bloodshed of its scholars and leaders.”
He asserted that any attack would be met with a comprehensive response targeting American interests in the region.
He said the United States would witness “the destruction of all its capabilities in the region,” referring to US military bases, ships, and forces deployed in the Middle East.
Tensions escalate between Tehran and Washington
Qalibaf added that igniting the region would make Washington face “intense fire and overwhelming firepower,”
warning Trump against being “deceived by the lies” being conveyed to him.
In his speech, he referred to the city of Mashhad, saying that whoever believes it has fallen is “deluded,”
stressing that the followers of Imam Reza are “fully prepared to respond.”
These statements come amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington,
amid regional fears that the situation could spiral into a wider confrontation.
This comes at a time when Iran continues to emphasize its readiness
to respond to any threat to its sovereignty or national security.
