Islamabad, Pakistan – The Pakistani Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s desire to elevate relations with Tajikistan to more diverse and comprehensive levels, reflecting the common interests of the two countries and supporting stability and development in the Central and South Asian region.
The statements came during diplomatic talks that addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and trade fields, as well as exploring prospects for cooperation in the energy, transport and regional connectivity sectors, especially projects that contribute to facilitating trade and promoting regional integration.
The Pakistani side stressed the importance of expanding security cooperation and combating common challenges, while emphasizing support for dialogue and continued coordination between official institutions in both countries, in order to serve regional security and stability.
The two sides also discussed enhancing cultural and educational exchange, intensifying high-level reciprocal visits, as well as coordinating positions within regional and international frameworks on issues of common interest.
This approach comes as Pakistan seeks to strengthen its partnerships with Central Asian countries and expand its regional network of relations in a way that supports economic development and enhances multifaceted cooperation with friendly countries.
