Jakarta, Indonesia – The death toll from floods and landslides that have struck several regions of Indonesia has risen to 442, the National Disaster Management Agency announced on Sunday.
The agency said 402 people are still missing. Rescue teams are continuing their efforts to reach remote areas of Sumatra, the island hardest hit by the disaster.
Authorities indicate that thousands of residents remain trapped, cut off from basic supplies for hours.
