Damascus, Syria – Several Arab countries have expressed their strong condemnation of the ongoing Israeli attacks in Syria, following the latest attack carried out
by the occupation army at dawn on Friday on the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside.
This included an attempted incursion and airstrikes that resulted in civilian deaths and injuries.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement that Kuwait
“condemns and denounces the attempted incursion and deliberate bombing.”
Which was launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Damascus countryside,
which resulted in a number of civilian casualties.”
She stressed that these “criminal attacks” represent a continuation
of the Israeli approach that destabilizes the region’s security.
And undermining Arab and international efforts aimed at reducing escalation.
A blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty
The statement added that the attack on Damascus “constitutes a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty.”
This is a clear violation of international humanitarian law and Security Council resolutions.”
For his part, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi reiterated
Amman’s condemnation of the raids on Damascus.
He stressed that it was “a violation of international law and all international norms and an unjustified escalation.”
Safadi’s remarks came during a press conference at the conclusion
of the 10th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean in Barcelona.
He said: “While Syria is working on rebuilding, Israel continues to violate its sovereignty.”
And the aggression against its land and the sowing
of discord among the components of its people.”
He noted that the attack on the village of Beit Jinn in Damascus resulted
in the death of ten Syrians, according to initial data.
It undermines efforts to establish security and stability.

According to the Syrian Ministry of Health,
the death toll from the Israeli raids on Beit Jinn has risen to 13.
Among them are women and children, in addition to 25 injured.
The bombing came after residents confronted an Israeli patrol
that tried to enter and arrest three people.
This resulted in injuries to six Israeli soldiers.
Beit Jann is located on the slopes of Mount Hermon,
about ten kilometers from the ceasefire line in the occupied Golan Heights.
Over the past months, it has been subjected to a series of repeated attacks,
including bombing and temporary ground incursions.
