Washington, DC – The UN Secretary-General affirmed that the partnership between the African Union and the European Union is a cornerstone in building a more balanced and equitable international order. He noted that transcontinental cooperation is essential to addressing escalating economic, humanitarian, and security challenges.
He emphasized that understanding between the two sides gives the international community a real opportunity to establish a new development model. He added that this is based on supporting developing countries, strengthening regional integration, and improving the world’s ability to deal with successive crises.
He added that the next phase requires stronger and clearer partnerships to ensure stability and development. He considered African-European cooperation to be one of the most important avenues, as this cooperation can contribute to building a more equitable and sustainable global future.
