Gaza, Palestine – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take urgent steps to halt the dangerous escalation of violence against civilians in Gaza. It stressed that the continued attacks are exacerbating the humanitarian situation and threaten a wider conflagration in the region.
The ministry stressed that international silence encourages further violations. It called for the activation of diplomatic pressure tools and the imposition of immediate measures to ensure the protection of the population and the opening of safe humanitarian corridors.
She stressed that any serious action by global powers would contribute to stopping the bleeding and supporting efforts to restore stability to the sector.
