Mexico – Mexico is experiencing a growing health crisis after authorities recorded a significant increase in alcohol-related deaths. Official reports indicate that the country is facing 115 deaths daily due to excessive alcohol consumption.
Mexican health authorities have warned of the dangers of this high rate, confirming that alcohol consumption is a direct cause of numerous deaths. It also plays a role in road accidents, domestic violence, and chronic illnesses.
The government urged citizens to reduce their consumption. It also emphasized the need to intensify awareness campaigns and tighten controls on the sale of alcoholic products, particularly in impoverished areas where counterfeit alcohol is prevalent.
Experts believe that the continuation of this situation poses a threat to public health. This necessitates more decisive measures to stop the daily loss of life.
