Supply crisis forces Oman Air to ground its aircraft

Oman Air announced on Thursday that it has made temporary changes to the schedules of some of its flights due to a number of its aircraft being affected and out of service.

This is a result of the current disruptions in global supply chains for spare parts and maintenance.

The company confirmed that it is working in close and direct coordination

with manufacturers to expedite the return of affected aircraft to service.

Emphasizing that it has taken all operational measures to minimize the impact on traveling guests.

Global challenges halt a “modern” fleet

The company statement explained that Oman Air is proud to “operate

a modern and highly efficient fleet” based on the latest technologies.

However, like many airlines around the world, the company

is currently facing challenges in global supply chains.

This resulted in a temporary grounding of a limited number of our aircraft.

The statement said: “Accordingly, adjustments have been made

to the schedules of some of our planned flights.”

Oman Air confirmed its commitment to affected passengers,

noting that immediate measures have been taken.

By working with manufacturers to expedite aircraft maintenance and return.

She added, “We are immediately rescheduling bookings for affected guests on alternative flights.”

This is a standard procedure that is in line with approved operating policies.”

The company concluded its statement by apologizing for any inconvenience this may cause.

Reaffirming its full commitment to the safety and comfort of

its guests and staff, which remains its top priority.
