Denmark – Continuing its support for Kyiv, the Danish government announced a new $220 million military aid package for Ukraine. This comes as part of ongoing Western efforts to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities against Russia.
The Danish Ministry of Defence said in an official statement that the new package will include advanced military equipment, ammunition, and logistical support systems. It confirmed that the aim is to enable Ukrainian forces to withstand the harsh winter conditions on the front lines.
The statement indicated that Copenhagen considers this aid “an investment in common European security.” It believes that defending Ukraine means protecting the stability of the entire continent.
With this move, Denmark’s total military aid to Ukraine since the start of the war rises to over $8 billion, making it one of the leading European donors to the Ukrainian effort after Germany and the UK.
Copenhagen concluded its statement by affirming that its support for Kyiv would continue “as long as the Russian threat persists.” This sends a clear political message reflecting the West’s determination to extend military support despite repeated Russian warnings of the “serious consequences” of this approach.
