Britain, England – At least ten people were injured, nine of them critically, in a knife attack on a train. The train was traveling to Huntingdon, near Cambridge, on Saturday evening. Police have arrested two suspects and launched an investigation supported by counter-terrorism officers.
Eyewitnesses said the attacker was brandishing a long knife, prompting passengers to take refuge in restrooms and flee through the train carriages. The alarm was raised around 7:39 p.m., and more than 30 officers, some armed, responded to the scene.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed his condolences to those injured. North East London Railway advised passengers to postpone their journeys due to service disruptions that lasted until the end of the day.
