Japan – The Japanese news agency Kyodo reported that US President Donald Trump appears ready to deepen his country’s engagement with the Asian continent following his recent tour. This tour included several countries in the region, during which he focused on strengthening alliances and discussing shared economic and security issues.
The agency explained that the tour reflected Washington’s desire to redefine its relations with Asian powers in light of escalating geopolitical challenges and growing competition with China. It also indicated that the Trump administration might pursue more open policies toward Asia in the coming period to bolster American influence and counter China’s growing influence in the region.
