Athens, Greece – Tensions rose at the Greek port of Patras after a group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered and blocked the path of Israeli tourists aboard a cruise ship. The tourists were forced to change course and leave the port amidst angry chants and slogans condemning the aggression against Gaza.

Greek media reported that security forces intervened to contain the situation and prevent any direct clashes. The Israeli tourists left the port after the tension escalated.

The incident comes amid a growing wave of popular solidarity in Europe with the Palestinian people. There have been frequent protests against the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza.
