Washington, United States – A plane carrying Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese experienced an emergency landing at a US airbase after a sudden technical malfunction.

According to media reports, the plane was returning to Canberra following an official visit to Washington. The crew noticed unstable technical indicators in the flight systems, necessitating an immediate decision to land. This was to ensure the safety of the Prime Minister and his entourage.

The Australian government spokesperson confirmed that the landing was safe and that no injuries were reported. He also indicated that US technical teams have begun investigations to determine the nature of the defect.

The US authorities also expressed their full cooperation with the Australian side, praising the flight crew’s quick response. The crew handled the situation with great professionalism.

It is noteworthy that the accident did not affect Albanese’s official schedule. He is scheduled to resume his visit after the aircraft’s maintenance and technical inspection are completed.
