According to American media, the project is part of a plan to renovate some of the older facilities within the White House. This includes the construction of a modern ballroom suitable for official events and grand receptions, which are hosted by the US president.

Photos and videos circulating on social media showed the moment the bulldozer entered the backyard. This occurred amid a heavy security presence and strict safety measures. The scene astonished passersby and tourists who gathered to witness the unusual event.

According to media reports, the project is part of extensive development work, including updating the lighting and ventilation systems and expanding the presidential kitchen. This step aims to preserve the historical character of the building while meeting modern needs.

The decision sparked a wave of sarcastic comments online. Some questioned the “urgent need to build a ballroom” at a time when the country is experiencing successive political and economic crises. Others argued that the renovation was necessary to maintain the White House’s official appearance as a venue for international hospitality.
