KYIV, Ukraine – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Thursday that Russia used more than 300 drones and 37 missiles in an overnight attack on Ukrainian infrastructure.
“This fall, the Russians are exploiting every day to attack Ukrainian energy infrastructure,” Zelensky added via X platform on Thursday.
For its part, the private Ukrainian energy company DTEK said that Russia launched an attack overnight on its energy infrastructure.
It caused a halt in operations at gas production facilities in the Poltava region.
“The enemy attacked DTEK-Naftogaz’s energy infrastructure again overnight with drones and missiles,” the company wrote in a statement on Telegram on Thursday.
In contrast, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced in a statement on Thursday that “overnight, air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 51 Ukrainian drones.”
