Tehran, Iran – The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s naval force, Brigadier General Alireza Tengsiri, considered that the West’s problem with his country is not nuclear or weapons, but scientific progress.

This came amid the recent tension in relations between Iran and Western countries.

This came after the failure of negotiations on the nuclear file and the re-imposition of UN sanctions, in addition to mutual threats with Israel.

He said in statements on Friday evening: “They know that Iran is not seeking to possess a nuclear bomb, but their problem is our scientific progress, not weapons”.

He also considered that “Iran has today reached a stage where it is able to export missiles, drones, boats and flags,” according to him.

These statements came as several Iranian officials have been warning over the past period of any “new adventure” that Israel or the United States might launch, similar to the attacks that occurred in the 12-day war last June.

It also came after Tehran confirmed more than once, through Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, that his country had submitted to the European Troika (France, Germany, and Britain) several proposals to resolve the nuclear file and prevent the activation of the “Snapback” path, but they were rejected.

Araghchi considered that activating the “trigger mechanism” aims to push Tehran to make concessions that he described as unreasonable or impossible.

It is noteworthy that meetings at the highest levels intensified last month on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

The attendees sought to reach a settlement on UN sanctions and conclude a new agreement, but to no avail.
