Cairo, Egypt – An informed source told Reuters on Thursday that the agreement for the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan regarding Gaza is expected to be signed at 09:00 GMT.

He added that the ceasefire is expected to enter into force once the agreement is signed.

US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that the agreement reached on Gaza received broad international support.

He stressed that “the efforts of the whole world combined to make it a success”.

Trump added: “This is a truly remarkable period, and what has been achieved has been a great achievement for Israel, for the Arab countries, and for the United States.” Moreover, he stated, “It was great to be involved in a deal of this magnitude.”

He explained that the agreement “goes beyond Gaza, as it represents peace in the Middle East, which is amazing”.

He expressed his belief that “Iran will be part of the broader peace process.”

Hostages Release

Trump revealed that “the hostages will be released on Monday, including the dead.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he will gather his government on Thursday. They aim to approve the agreement reached with Hamas. The agreement aims to release the hostages held in Gaza. Additionally, it seeks to stop the two-year war in the Palestinian Strip.
