Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – ADNOC Supply and Services Company “BLC” and “Thinwaq” Company announced a 50-year agreement. This will establish a specialized chemical port within the “Thinwaq” industrial chemicals area in the city of Ruwais.

ADNOC Supply and Services will build, own and operate the port.

Meanwhile, “Enhaz” will benefit from this facility to export chemicals and their derivatives to global markets efficiently.

The project, which costs more than one billion dirhams and $300 million, is scheduled to be completed during the last quarter of 2026.

It is expected to contribute to achieving revenues exceeding 4.8 billion dirhams, or $1.3 billion, for ADNOC Supply and Services during the first 27 years.

In return, Tanzeef is working to develop the country’s first integrated chemical system.

By 2028, its production capacity is planned to reach more than 4.7 million tons annually of chemicals. These include methanol, low-carbon ammonia, caustic soda, ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride monomer, and polyvinyl chloride.

Strategic Agreement

Captain Abdul Karim Al Musabi, CEO of ADNOC Supply and Services, said that this strategic agreement to establish the first specialized port of its kind for chemicals in the UAE represents an important step. It is towards achieving long-term and predictable revenues for ADNOC Supply and Services. In addition, it supports the growth of the integrated “Enhancing” system in the field of chemicals.

He added that the project confirms the ability to expand into fast-growing sectors and provide sustainable value to their shareholders. In addition, it contributes to advancing the industrial development process that the country is witnessing.

“Enhancing” is a key pillar of ADNOC’s ambitions to advance the country’s chemical industrial value chain. It also contributes to supporting economic diversification through industrial development.

The “boost” is expected to contribute billions of dollars to the national economy, in addition to providing thousands of job opportunities.

It also contributes to the development of hundreds of new final products across vital sectors including construction, agriculture and healthcare.

It is noteworthy that the “Enhancing” project will provide an integrated system. This will ensure the highest levels of operational efficiency for chemical producers.

It includes central facilities, storage stations, and supply lines for raw materials.

In addition to an integrated infrastructure that includes roads, emergency response systems, and health, safety and crisis management.
