Copenhagen, Denmark – Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen admitted that the response of the armed forces and police was “very slow” in dealing with repeated reports of drone sightings in the country’s airspace. He emphasized that security performance was not up to the required standard.

  • Copenhagen under threat
  • Ambiguity about the implementing party

frequent airport closures

These statements came after the airspace over Aalborg Airport was closed on Friday evening. This followed the sighting of a drone near the airport. Similar reports were also received regarding the airports in Esbjerg, Sønderberg, and Skreidstrup.

Copenhagen under threat

Copenhagen International Airport was temporarily closed last Monday after three drones were spotted in the vicinity. This sparked concern among travelers and authorities.

Ambiguity about the implementing party

The minister confirmed that his country has no evidence proving Russia’s involvement in these incidents. Police announced that investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the unidentified aircraft.
