Beirut, Lebanon – At least six people were killed and 21 others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley on Friday, two security sources told Reuters. The strikes caused widespread damage amid escalating tensions in the region, raising fears of a wider conflict between Israel and armed groups in Lebanon.

Details of the attacks

Israeli forces carried out attacks targeting specific locations in the Bekaa Valley, according to the two security sources, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to local property. These attacks come amid escalating regional tensions in the Middle East and international concerns about a deteriorating security situation.

Local and international reactions

So far, neither the Israeli army nor the Lebanese government has issued official statements regarding these attacks, while the international community has been closely monitoring the situation. Lebanese security sources confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the details of the casualties and material damage and to accurately identify the intended targets.
