MOSCOW, Russia – The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian army has taken control of a new town in Donetsk Oblast.
“As a result of decisive actions by units of the Russian Southern Group forces, the town of Fedorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic has been liberated,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Russian Defense Ministry indicated that “units of the Russian Northern Group forces continued their advance. They progressed deep into the defenses of the Ukrainian forces.”
The manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were also targeted in several areas of Sumy and Kharkiv provinces.
The Russian defense statement said:
- The losses of Ukrainian forces in the area of operations of the “South” forces group amounted to more than 205 soldiers.
- The “Northern” forces targeted Ukrainian forces in several areas in Sumy and Kharkov provinces. This inflicted losses on them of about 175 soldiers.
- Units of the “Center” group took control of more useful positions and Ukrainian forces suffered losses of about 385 soldiers.
- Units of the “East” group continue to advance deep into the defenses of the Ukrainian forces. They suffered losses of about 225 soldiers.
- The losses of Ukrainian forces in the area of operations of the Dnieper forces amounted to about 65 soldiers.
- The “West” forces improved their tactical position in several areas of Kharkov and Donetsk. Consequently, the Ukrainian forces suffered losses of about 240 soldiers.
