London, England – A British government spokesman said that British Foreign Secretary David Lammy and US Vice President J.De Vance will meet with Ukrainian and European allies in Britain on Saturday to discuss President Donald Trump’s efforts to bring peace to Ukraine.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s spokesman said he spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky before the security meeting.
Starmer and Zelensky discussed Trump’s proposals to end the war in Ukraine ahead of talks with his Russian counterpart on August 15 in Alaska.
The Prime Minister spoke with Ukrainian President Zelensky this morning. They looked forward to today’s meeting of national security advisers from Europe, Ukraine and the United States, hosted by the UK Foreign Secretary and the US Vice President, a ministry spokesman said.
They also agreed that this would be a vital forum for discussing progress towards securing a just and lasting peace.
