  • What to do if the phone overheats?

As summer temperatures rise, smartphones face increasing challenges regarding battery overheating. This can affect performance and reduce the battery’s lifespan if prolonged. Tech experts recommend following simple practical steps to avoid overheating. Moreover, these steps keep your device safe.

Avoid Direct Heat Sources

Direct sunlight is the primary enemy of smartphones in the summer. Experts advise against leaving your phone inside closed cars or exposing it to sunlight for long periods. High temperatures can damage internal components and put extra pressure on the battery. Consequently, this reduces its efficiency over the long term.

Correct Charging Practices

To maintain a moderate temperature during charging, it is recommended to temporarily remove the phone case if it retains heat. Also, ensure the use of the original charger or one approved by the manufacturer. Avoid running heavy games or high-consumption apps during the charging process. This significantly increases the device’s temperature.

Optimizing Settings and Reducing Consumption

Experts emphasize the importance of closing background apps when not in use. Lowering screen brightness is also essential. Moreover, you should disable location services (GPS) and Bluetooth when not needed. These steps not only help reduce energy consumption but also directly contribute to lowering the battery temperature.

What to do if the phone overheats?

If you notice your phone becoming unusually hot, it is recommended to stop using it for a while. Then, place it in a well-ventilated area to cool down naturally. Experts warn against quick fixes like placing it in the refrigerator or exposing it to extreme cooling sources. Sudden temperature changes can damage internal components or cause moisture condensation inside the device.
