Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced the near completion of filming for the movie “The Boulevard” via his official social media accounts.
Turki Al-Sheikh shared a picture of the crew, commenting: “Today is the last day of filming for the movie ‘The Boulevard’ by director Mohammed Al-Mulla,” indicating the end of the main filming stages for the work, which is considered one of the most anticipated Saudi cinematic productions.
From “Ooo” to “The Boulevard”
The film was initially released under the title “Awoo,” before its title was changed to “The Boulevard” at the suggestion of Turki Al-Sheikh, which is the name that the filmmakers ultimately settled on.
Al-Sheikh had previously announced his participation in two scenes within the film, a move that garnered widespread public attention.
A fantasy and comedic adventure story
The film unfolds when a mysterious portal opens above “Boulevard World,” transforming the destination into a living world where different eras and civilizations intersect. Legendary figures emerge, threatening the city’s stability. Throughout the events, a simple security guard named Talal finds himself confronting this extraordinary world full of surprises, alongside a Saudi family trapped within the Boulevard, in a blend of comedy, suspense, and human drama.
The film’s cast and release date
The film features a cast of stars, most notably Fahad Bin Salem “Abu Salou”, Lama Al-Kinani, Khaled Abdulaziz, Abdulmohsen Al-Harbi, Funoon Al-Jarallah, Aseel Omran, Abdullah Al-Hussein, Abdulrahman Al-Shehri, and Abdulilah “Lili”.
The film is directed by Mohammed Al-Mulla, based on an idea by consultant Turki Al-Sheikh, and is scheduled to be released in cinemas during 2027.
