London – In an official move to protect global heritage within its borders, British authorities have issued an order preventing the export of a rare painting by the renowned Italian artist Sandro Botticelli. Obviously, by May 2026, the UK has decided to impose strict restrictions on the departure of exceptional artworks. This decision grants local museums and cultural institutions a “last chance” to raise the necessary funds to acquire the painting, preventing it from vanishing into private collections abroad.
