Cairo, Egypt – A huge fire broke out this morning inside the set of the TV series “Beit Baba” starring Mohamed Anwar, inside Media Production City, resulting in the complete destruction of the set, coinciding with the filming of the second part scheduled to be shown soon on television screens.
Containing the fire before it spreads
The emergency operations room in Giza Governorate received a report of a huge fire and thick smoke rising from inside the film studio in the popular neighborhood. Civil protection forces, supported by a number of fire trucks, immediately moved to the scene and succeeded in controlling and containing the fire before it spread to the neighboring studios, without any human casualties being recorded.
Significant losses due to wooden decorations
The initial inspection revealed that the fire broke out in the wooden decorations, and the wind speed contributed to increasing its spread within the filming location, which led to significant losses in the decorative structure of the work, which will require rebuilding it again, and may affect the filming schedule during the coming period.

The series “Beit Baba” is a social comedy that revolves around a traditional Egyptian family, through the character of “Asaad Abu Safa,” the strict school principal who believes in strict discipline in education, which creates many human situations and crises, before his convictions gradually change as the events unfold.
