Voice of the Emirates – Arab films dominated the list of films nominated for the Oscar, as the initial list of films nominated for the Oscar for Best International Feature Film was announced, which witnessed a remarkable participation of four Arab works, in a new confirmation of the growing presence of Arab cinema on the global scene, and its ability to compete within the highest international film awards.
The list included the Iraqi film “The President’s Cake,” which offers a bold cinematic treatment of social and political realities through a sharp, critical lens reflecting societal transformations and contradictions. It also featured “The Voice of Hind Rajab” from Tunisia, a work based on a profound human narrative that blends emotional depth with collective memory, highlighting themes of testimony and personal history.
