Abu Dhabi, UAE – NRTC Group, the main subsidiary of Food Holding and one of the companies of the International Holding Company, announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the National Initiative “Ne’ma” to reduce food loss and waste. This is part of supporting the UAE’s commitment to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030. In line with Goal 12.3 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Under this partnership, NRTC will provide data-driven information and operational expertise. And supply chain infrastructure to support the identification, measurement and reduction of food loss and waste at key points in the value chain.
This cooperation will also contribute to food rescue programmes, “zero food waste” initiatives, and broader efforts to engage various partners. With the aim of improving efficiency in the food system in the UAE.
In addition, the cooperation relationship will support the two sides’ participation in awareness-raising initiatives, knowledge-sharing platforms, and policy dialogues. Enabling the NRTC Group to contribute to the preparation of national sustainability reports and impact measurement frameworks.
