Prague, Czech Republic – Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, met with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš in Prague to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
They also discussed regional developments and the repercussions of Iranian terrorist attacks on countries in the region.
Strengthening bilateral relations
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations across various fields,
serving the mutual interests of both countries and supporting stability,
economic development, and political cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Prague.
The meeting between Abdullah bin Zayed and Andrej Babiš addressed opportunities to expand cooperation
between the UAE and the Czech Republic, particularly in the economic, investment, and technological sectors.
They also discussed supporting existing partnerships between government institutions and the private sector in both countries.
The two sides explored prospects for developing cooperation in the areas of security, energy, and infrastructure,
aiming to enhance shared interests and keep pace with global economic developments.
The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the region,
most notably the repercussions of the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting countries in the region.
They further discussed the threat these attacks pose to regional security,
the safety of international navigation, and the stability of energy markets.
Emphasizing the importance of international coordination
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to counter threats to security and stability, stressing the need to respect international law and protect civilian facilities and vital infrastructure.
Both sides agreed on the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on regional and international issues of common interest.
This coordination contributes to supporting security and stability and enhancing opportunities for diplomatic solutions to conflicts.
