Madrid, Spain – Spanish Paula Blasi, a player on the Emirates women’s cycling team, won the Durango Imacumin Sarria race title. Which concluded on Tuesday in Spain.
Blasi’s coronation came after a strong attack in the final meters of the race, through which she succeeded in taking the lead and achieving victory.
Blasi participated alongside her teammates in the Emirates team, where Alina Ivanchenko, Safia Al Sayegh, Celia Torres, Giada Selo, and Magdalena Lis gave a distinguished group performance. They contributed to imposing control over the course of the race, in addition to reducing the gap with a runaway group of three contestants. She had extended the difference to more than four minutes.
The race extended for a distance of 113 kilometers, starting from Durango and reaching the finish line in the city itself.
The race witnessed a decisive moment after the last summit, when her teammate Valiers fell into a corner while descending. This forced Dixon and Marcus to slow down, while Blassie skillfully dodged the incident. To continue its progress towards the finish line and secure the title.
