Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE has signed a deal with Brazilian company Embraer to purchase C-390 Millennium aircraft and additional options.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chief of the Presidential Office. Who attended the launch of the fifth session of the “Make in the UAE 2026” platform. Which will be held from May 4 to 7 at ADNEC Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed wrote on his X account: “We witnessed the signing of the largest international contract for C-390 Millennium aircraft, with the purchase of 10 aircraft and additional options, in a step that enhances the readiness of our air force with advanced operational and multi-mission capabilities. It also represents the aircraft’s first entry into the Middle East, reflecting global confidence in the efficiency of our defense system, supporting the localization of military industries and enhancing the country’s industrial integration.

C-390 Millennium
It is a medium-sized, jet, multi-role tactical military transport aircraft. It was designed by the Brazilian company Embraer to be the heaviest in its production. It is distinguished by its ability to transport troops and equipment, medical evacuation, firefighting, and air refueling. It is currently the preferred choice for many air forces due to its high operational capabilities.

The cost of one aircraft is approximately $83 million, depending on the options required.
