His colleague Abdullah Mashhoud added the bronze medal in the same race, finishing third, with a time of 10.86 seconds.
Ali Ghazwan, director of the UAE national athletics team, confirmed that the two medals on the first day of the tournament on the field of the Olympic Stadium in Rades carry important indicators of the remarkable development in the high competitive performance of the team’s players.
