BEIJING, China – The UAE national judo team will open its participation in the 2026 Grand Slam tournament in China on Thursday. By fighting 3 fights in the men’s and women’s lightweight competitions.
The tournament draw, which was held on Wednesday, placed player Bashirat Khroudi in front of the winner of the match between Korean Jung and Chinese Liu Bin, “weight under 52 kg”. Player Simon Constantine, “weight under 60 kg”, with the winner of the match between Mehrzad from Tajikistan and Yishai from Bhutan. The UAE national team completed its preparations for the tournament organized by the Chinese Federation under the supervision of the International Federation. Its competitions will continue until next Saturday at Ordos City Sports Hall. With the participation of 197 male and female players representing 19 countries, including 3 Arab teams: the UAE, Bahrain, and Syria, with prizes of 154,000 euros.
