Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE show jumping riders will participate in the World Championships to be held in Aachen, Germany, next August.
The preliminary list of qualified riders, along with their horses, includes Sheikha Latifa Al Maktoum. “Cornet XL”, Sheikh Ali Jamal Al-Naimi “Cobalt”, Omar Al-Marzouqi “Injoy de Lamyur”, and Chaco Bay. Hamid Al Muhairi “Funchetti”, Abdullah Hamid Al Muhairi “Shakalo and Hudson”, and Abdullah Al Marri “Migregor”. Saeed Al Mazmi “Bashoon” and Mohammed Ahmed Al Owais “Fara de Beaufort”.
The UAE Knights are preparing to participate in the global event through gradual preparation in a number of European championships during the next stage. With the aim of enhancing their physical abilities and raising the horses’ readiness levels to participate in competitions.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Nakhi, Director of the Show Jumping Committee at the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, confirmed that the World Championship in Germany 2026 is a new milestone in the journey of global participation. A qualitative addition to the prestigious series of championships, 7 teams qualify for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Pointing out that the current list of qualified knights will witness the participation of 4 of them in Germany.
He explained that the UAE Knights, with their distinguished skills, high capabilities, and acquired experience in various international and Olympic tournaments, face a great challenge to show the extent of development in this sport. Confirming the UAE’s great position in foreign competitions.
