Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed regional developments in light of the continued Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and a number of countries in the region
during telephone calls with a number of foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries.
Contacts with international officials
The discussions included the foreign ministers of several countries, among them José Manuel Álvarez,
Lee Hwai Truong, Tom Berendsen, and Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.
They also discussed the latest developments and regional repercussions.
Zayed condemns the attacks and affirms the right to respond
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and his counterparts condemned the Iranian missile attacks,
stressing that they pose a threat to regional and international security.
They also emphasized the right of the targeted countries to respond in a manner that preserves their sovereignty
and security, in accordance with the principles of international law.
Calls for dialogue and prioritizing political solutions
The talks also addressed the importance of strengthening diplomatic efforts
and prioritizing dialogue to resolve crises, thereby contributing to regional stability.
The ministers expressed their countries‘ solidarity with the UAE,
while Abdullah bin Zayed affirmed the safety of residents and visitors within the country.
