Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that the country’s air defenses intercepted 10 ballistic missiles and 26 drones launched from Iran towards the UAE. The Ministry also confirmed their success in countering these threats.
The Ministry explained that since the start of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defenses have intercepted 278 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,540 drones.
These interceptions are part of ongoing operations to protect the country’s airspace. Moreover, these operations counter any threats to the UAE’s security.
Casualties and injuries from the attacks
The Ministry of Defense indicated that these attacks resulted in six deaths of various nationalities,
including Emirati, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi.
Authorities also recorded 131 minor and moderate injuries among residents and citizens. These injuries involved nationalities including Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino,
Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean,
Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, and Indonesian.

The Ministry of Defense affirmed that the UAE Armed Forces are fully prepared and ready to address any potential threats. Additionally, they will resolutely confront anything that aims to undermine the security and stability of the nation.
The Ministry emphasized its continued commitment to taking all necessary measures to protect the sovereignty of the state and ensure its security and stability.
