Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sharjah returned to winning ways after achieving a resounding 4-1 victory over Dibba in the postponed match from round 16 of the UAE Pro League, which took place this evening at Sharjah Club Stadium.
Sharjah imposed its control from the first minutes, with Harib Suhail opening the scoring in the 8th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that found the back of the net.
Only two minutes passed before Igor Coronado added the second goal in the 10th minute, before the same player returned and strengthened the lead with the third goal in the 42nd minute from a free kick, scoring a new brace for him in the competition.
Before the end of the first half, Leandro Gama scored Sharjah’s fourth goal with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, ending the first half with the home team leading 4-0.
In the second half, Dibba managed to reduce the deficit after Simon Cabral scored the first goal in the 50th minute, but that was not enough to come back in the result.
With this victory, Sharjah raised its tally to 20 points, advancing to eighth place in the standings, while Dibba’s tally remained frozen at 13 points in thirteenth place.
