Rome, Italy – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, during a working visit to the Italian capital, Rome, where the two sides discussed the strategic partnership relations between the UAE and Italy, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
Strengthening the strategic partnership
The meeting addressed various frameworks of bilateral cooperation between the two countries within the context of their strategic partnership. Both sides reviewed opportunities to enhance cooperation in several vital sectors.
They discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in economic, trade, and investment fields, as well as in renewable energy, sustainability, and artificial intelligence, supporting both countries’ efforts to achieve comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity.

The meeting also addressed current regional and international developments, particularly in light of the military escalation in the region and the Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and several other countries in the region in recent days.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for Italy’s supportive stance and solidarity with the UAE in the face of these attacks, praising the international positions that affirm support for the security and stability of the region.
