Ajman, UAE – The International Charity Organization announced that more than 600 villages benefit from the “Iftar Saim” project, which it is implementing in many countries of the Islamic world.
During the first half of Ramadan, 225,000 meals and more than 16,000 food parcels were distributed for iftar in Muslim villages.
His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the Authority, stressed that the project embodies the UAE’s humanitarian message and its established values in extending a helping hand to those in need wherever they are.
He pointed out that the Authority’s teams and offices have intensified their efforts since the first day of the holy month to ensure that aid reaches those who deserve it on time and in a way that preserves their dignity.
He said that the Authority was keen this year to expand the scope of the project geographically and increase the number of beneficiaries.
This is in response to increasing humanitarian needs in a number of countries.
He revealed that the distribution operations also included workers within the country and needy families.
He added that the project is being implemented according to organized working mechanisms that ensure speed of completion and accuracy of targeting, in coordination with official authorities in the beneficiary countries.
In line with local laws and approved humanitarian standards.
He explained that the Authority has adopted a field follow-up system that allows for continuous performance evaluation and impact measurement.
His Excellency pointed out that the Authority is continuing to implement its other projects, such as distributing zakat, Eid clothing, and supporting urgent humanitarian cases.
In addition to construction projects such as building mosques, schools, homes, health centers, and digging wells.
He stressed that the Authority is continuing to expand its qualitative programs that focus on sustainability and achieving a long-term development impact in the beneficiary communities.
The Secretary-General appreciated the support of benefactors and donors inside and outside the Emirates.
He stressed that their contributions played a key role in enabling the Authority to reach millions of beneficiaries.
He also called on community members and institutions to continue giving during the remainder of the holy month to maximize human impact and consolidate the culture of solidarity and compassion.
