Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Federal National Council strongly condemned and denounced the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the UAE, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
He considered it a blatant violation of the sovereignty of states, a serious violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.
The Council stressed in a statement that targeting the UAE under any pretext is an act of aggression that is completely unacceptable and cannot be justified, passed or dealt with as a passing event. The sovereignty of the state, the preservation of its national security, and the protection of its lands, airspace and territorial waters are a red line and a responsibility that cannot be tolerated or tested.
The Council expressed full solidarity with the sister countries exposed to these attacks.
He stressed that the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries is indivisible, and that any infringement on the sovereignty of any of them is considered an infringement on the security and stability of the entire region.
The Council – as a representative of the people of the Union – declared its full support for the leadership of the state and its institutions, and its absolute support for all measures it takes to defend its sovereignty, security and national stability.
He also appreciated the transparent, clear and firm briefing issued by the UAE government confirming the country’s categorical rejection of using its lands, airspace or territorial waters for any military action. At the same time, it reserves its full and legitimate right to self-defense in accordance with international law.
The Council praised the high readiness and professional efficiency demonstrated by the national defense system and the authorities responsible for crisis and emergency management.
Which reflects the strength and integration of state institutions in protecting lives and facilities, proving once again that the UAE manages its national security with a strategic mind and an advanced institutional system capable of dealing with various challenges.
In this context, the Council saluted the people of the Emirates, both citizens and residents, for their awareness, commitment, confidence in state institutions, and keenness to adhere to instructions aimed at protecting everyone’s security.
He stressed that residents of the UAE are partners in its development process and part of its societal fabric, and that the societal cohesion that is evident in this circumstance reflects the solidity of the internal front and the unity of the national ranks.
The Council commended all measures taken by economic and financial institutions in both the public and private sectors to ensure the continuity of economic activity and its high readiness to deal with all crises.
Which has proven that the UAE has a solid, diversified and highly prepared economy.

He also stressed that such attacks will not undermine the country’s economic stability, investor confidence, or its position as a regional and international center for stability and growth.
In conclusion, the Federal National Council stressed that the UAE’s strength is not only in its defense capabilities, but also in its internal unity, the confidence of its people in their leadership, the cohesion of its institutions, and the clarity of its positions.
He stressed that the UAE remains a state of reason and wisdom, calling for calm, dialogue and de-escalation, but at the same time it does not allow any infringement on its sovereignty or national security, and takes everything necessary to protect its people, land and capabilities within the framework of international legitimacy.
He also called on God Almighty to protect the UAE, its leadership and its people, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability.
