Abu Dhabi, UAE – The President of the United Arab Emirates and the President of Turkey discussed the latest developments in the region and their impact on regional security and stability during a phone call. This comes amidst the escalating tensions of recent days.

Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to contain the tensions and prevent the widening of the conflict. This is essential for preserving the security of nations and the safety of their people, and for maintaining stability in the region.

They stressed the necessity of prioritizing dialogue and political solutions. They also called for enhanced coordination and ongoing consultation between the two countries on issues of mutual concern, particularly those related to maritime security and the stability of energy markets.

The discussions also touched upon the importance of supporting international efforts aimed at de-escalation and avoiding any steps that could lead to further escalation. This comes at a time of growing concerns about the repercussions of the current situation on regional and international security.

This call is part of the ongoing consultations between Abu Dhabi and Ankara. It underscores the two countries’ commitment to strengthening cooperation and continuing coordination in addressing the various challenges facing the region.
